Well we've been staying in Giza  near the  Pyramids with a family that does camel tours argyound the Pyramids.  really different view. Crossed the Suez and the Sinai Monday  to stay on the Gulf of Aquaba.Yesterday took a ferry from Taba Egypt to Aquaba Jordan, crossing below Elat Israel and just miles north of Saudi Arabia.  Took a bus from there about 80 miles through. the mountains of Jordan and Wadi Rum to Petra one of the seven modern wonders of the world. Hiked six miles out of 45sq kilometers of the site. Incredible. I''ll be posting more pictures on facebook when time and reliable connections exist. Today we go off in the deserts of central Sinai for several days camel trekking with Bedouins towards St. Catherine's Monastery, another World Heritage Site. and the a climb of Mt. Sinai.
