It seems that a couple of years ago someone in the government decided that the tens of thousands of asthmatics in this country were depleting the ozone layer by using their Albuterol inhalers.
With each puff of life saving mist unapproved propellants were being released into the atmosphere and hastening global warming. The solution ... use an approved propellant.
This Albuterol had been around long enough to be generic and cost most people about $40 a year. Guess what; by changing the propellant the drug manufacturers were now able to renew the patent. The "new drug" with the same old medicine in it now costs at the least @$400 a year and will until this patent runs out. Something is wrong here. That ticks me off.
